President Kolinda Grabar Kitarović visited Education Center Outward Bound in Veliki Žitnik accompanied by dr. Darko Milinović, Ličko-Senjska County mayor.
During the visit, she met with members of the Executive and Senior Board of the Outward Bound Croatia who briefly presented her Outward Bound methodology and had the opportunity to look at the performance of the part of the Outward Bound program currently being conducted with students from American International School Budapest (AISB).
The president also visited the premises of the Education Center, which was opened last year thanks to Zagrebgradnja d.d. led by Mr. Branko Vojnović and members of Rotary Clubs Zagreb and Zagreb Gradec. Together with the Outward Bound Team, the President was welcomed by representatives of the Rotary Clubs – Mr. Marijan Bulat (President of the Rotary Zone), Mr. Slobodan Školnik (President of the Rotary Club of Zagreb) and Mr. Ratko Žurić (member of the Rotary Club of Zagreb and the initiator of the Project of Revitalization Like).
Also, the President met with the locals of Veliki Žitnik and visited the birth place of Ante Starčević, pointing to the value of Veliki Žitnik as important historical site, which today is the meeting place for children and young people from all over Croatia and Europe at the Outward Bound Education Center.
Head of the Education Center – Matea Brižić handed out a gift to President Grabar -Kitarović with wish that her visit to Education centar stays in a beautiful memory.
