I volunteered at the 8-day Outward Bound course. My motivation for participating was multiple. I was intrigued by the opportunity, of type of experiential learning that is still unknown to me, which will allow me to further expand my professional growth, and at the same time provide a visible feedback. The results exceeded my expectations. I’m positive that this type of experience would be useful to anyone working as a pedagogical worker for the purpose of professional development as well as personal growth regardless of their affinity when it comes to the way of spending leisure time.

Although I have ten years of experience in education, I have not experienced such a rapid and effective learning effect (in a very short period of time), and enviable success in creating group cohesion by providing great responsibility to each individual.

Upon completion of the course, these young people have become more mature than they were at the beginning. I think that the program should be implemented in every high school and institution engaged in education of children and young people due to the fact that the course provides them with extraordinary experience, enables development of self-esteem, fosters cooperation and mutual respect, all that without any preconditions and expectations of the participants except their own motivation.
